Before and during the pandemic, the food manufacturers who the traceability experts work with, including manufacturers of bread, desserts, meat-free foods, and prepared meals told Stevens Traceability Systems about issues they faced with changes in production staff and absences due to COVID-19.  This uncovered skills gaps where knowledge of the Stevens’ electronic traceability and recipe system, used daily in their food production, was limited.

To aid their customers, the Blackburn firm has developed a digital training platform that their gold support contract customers can access free of charge, 24/7, to train their operatives at a convenient time. They can quickly train and upskill operatives to fully utilise the Stevens recipe system that plays a core part in their production, resulting in better efficiency, reduced waste, and consistent products.
