KUKA Robot receives prestigious industrial design award
KUKA Roboter GmbH (Germany) - KUKA Robotics has won one of the most prestigious honors in Industrial Design: the Good Design Award. The KUKA robot KR 270 QUANTEC ultra was awarded end of last year in the category "Robotics / Bionics". Initiator of the award is the U.S. Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. Every year, a distinguished jury of design experts selects the winners out of thousands of submissions. One of the most important requirements is that the excellent product is able to enrich society and people's lives.

The Good Design Award is presented annually since 1950 and was originally founded by four American architects. In addition to "Robotics / Bionics" there are several other categories such as textile, furniture, packaging and electronics.
