Ishida Europe Ltd. (United Kingdom) - The many benefits food companies can derive from an effective quality control system will be the focus of the second webinar in Ishida’s Automate Production, Enhance Productivity webcast series, which will be broadcast at 10 am GMT on Thursday, 12th November 2020.

The aim of the series is to examine in depth the main challenges that the food industry is facing today and deliver an understanding of how automation can play an important part in overcoming these. Ishida’s comprehensive experience in this area includes installations at production sites worldwide, working in partnership with customers to help enhance quality control in the packing of food products.

The webinar will feature presentations from Ishida specialists explaining how companies can enhance product quality and maintain and protect brand reputation, while also supporting the environmental requirement to reduce food waste.

Further presentations will focus on the production line, outlining quality control equipment’s role as part of an integrated and automated solution which ensures that line efficiencies can be maximised, and examining the value of data capturing and monitoring and the importance of providing full traceability. Maintaining machine uptime, particularly with the challenges brought about by the changes to working practices during the current pandemic, will also be covered.

The presentations will be followed by a Question and Answer session where a panel of Ishida experts will respond to points raised by the audience during the webinar. In addition, a poll conducted throughout the event will seek to identify the most important inspection issues and challenges for participants.

From the launch of its first checkweigher model in 1975, Ishida today offers a comprehensive range of quality control and inspection equipment that now also includes X-ray inspection systems, seal testers and its award-winning AirScan leak detection system. These are supplied as standalone machines or as part of a bespoke fully integrated packing line solution.

“The need to ensure product quality and brand integrity while maintaining throughput on the production line has always been vital to food companies but has taken on even greater significance during the coronavirus crisis. Our Quality Control webinar will help businesses to identify the most appropriate solutions to meet their particular objectives and requirements, and also provide us with valuable feedback on how best we can support our customers in achieving these.” - Steve Jones Marketing Director.
