Utilcell (Spain) – Press Release: UTILCELL is delighted to have once again partnered with the UPC Space Program, providing support to the GRASS team during their participation in the 2025 European Rover Challenge (ERC), held in Krakow, Poland. The ERC is recognized as one of the most important international events in aerospace engineering and robotics, attracting students, researchers, and companies from all over the world.
The GRASS team competed against more than 100 teams from over 30 countries, reaching the final stage and securing an impressive 20th place overall. Their rover, GAIA II, successfully completed a variety of missions, including autonomous and manual navigation, robotic arm operation, photography, and environmental data collection.
As part of this collaboration, UTILCELL supplied high-precision load cells and weighing electronics tailored to meet the project’s specific requirements. These solutions enabled the team to perform accurate and reliable weight measurements, which played a crucial role in the rover’s performance throughout the competition.
UTILCELL warmly congratulates the UPC Space Program and the GRASS team for their outstanding work, dedication, and innovation. We are proud to have contributed to their success and look forward to continuing this partnership in the coming years, reaching new milestones together in future challenges.
This collaboration highlights UTILCELL’s ongoing commitment to technological innovation and its support for emerging talent in the areas of robotics and space exploration.
