Automating the feed preparation process is a step that more and more farm owners are choosing. SWI-94 - our weighing meter - is a device that is frequently selected for work in this type of application. It works with 4- or 6-wire load cells, is equipped with a binary and an analog control output and an RS-485 / Modbus RTU communication interface. It features theoretical or real weight calibration, detection of peaks, and a high IP 65 protection degree from the front and the option of an extended operating temperature range of -20°C...+50°C, which makes it possible to be used also in harsh environmental conditions. We collaborate with companies that deal with the automation of feed mixing. We provide these companies with weighing components that are used to implement measurement and control systems in this type of application.

The set working in the sample application consists of:

• 3510-C3-500kg-T-END load cells featuring TEF-L1-ADJ adjustable mounting feet,
• SP-4 load cells junction box,
• and the SWI-94-1G33-1-3-0P1 weighing indicator with two relay outputs, active current 4..20 mA output, RS-485 / Modbus RTU communication interface, version for extended operating temperature range -20°C...+50°C

Based on measurement data from the SWI-94 weighing meter, the PLC controller controls the grain dosing process, controlling the operation of feeders and other devices involved in the feed preparation process.
