Siemens (Germany) - Siemens announced the launch of "Siemens for Startups" at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, a groundbreaking program designed to support engineering and manufacturing startups by accelerating innovation, streamlining processes, and scaling their businesses. This initiative aims to reduce the costs of accessing Siemens’ cutting-edge technologies, including software and hardware, while offering targeted services for early-stage companies.
Peter Koerte, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer, emphasized: “Startups are essential to making our customers more competitive, sustainable, and resilient. By collaborating with these companies, we help bring disruptive ideas to market faster, addressing global challenges with innovative technologies and solutions.”
The Pillars of "Siemens for Startups"
The program is built on three main pillars, designed to connect, collaborate, and empower startups:
- Connect: Integrates startups into the global Siemens Xcelerator marketplace, providing access to Siemens’ global ecosystem.
- Collaborate: Fosters partnerships between Siemens and leading startups through a venture-client model, enabling these companies to generate essential early revenue while offering Siemens access to innovative capabilities.
- Empower: Provides startups with tailored access to Siemens Xcelerator software tools, supporting both product development and software creation.
Strategic Partnership with AWS
A standout feature of the program is its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), aligning "Siemens for Startups" with AWS’s startup initiatives. This collaboration seeks to accelerate innovation by integrating Siemens’ industrial solutions with AWS’s scalable cloud infrastructure and services.
Jon Jones, Vice President and Global Head of Startups at AWS, stated: “Collaborating with Siemens allows us to extend the capabilities of the AWS Startup program to a new generation of innovators. Together, we empower startups with advanced software, generative AI, and cloud services to turn ideas into reality and revolutionize entire industries.”
Qualifying startups will gain access to AWS credits, technical support, business development resources, and the AWS Activate program.
