Scanvaegt's High-Capacity Double Grader Solution for Fish

Scanvaegt Nordic A/S (Norway) - We are proud to have been chosen as supplier of a new double grader solution for a major fish processing company in Norway. After assembly and meticulous testing, the large-scale grading system is ready at Marelec in Belgium to be shipped off to our customer.

Receiving more than 45,000 tonnes of fish annually, this customer is one of the largest Norwegian companies within pelagic fish. Processing and handling such a huge quantity of fish requires a high processing capacity, so the company decided to invest in the large-scale Marelec grading solution for handling frozen fillets, mainly mackerel and other pelagic species.

The solution is made up by 2 complete Marelec graders in a parallel system design with 13 batching stations on each side and packing stations for filling 20 kg fillets in boxes.

With the double grader solution, the company will achieve the high capacity they require, enabling them to handle up to 180 fillets per minute on each of the lines. The graders are capable of grading fillets with a length of up to 300 mm.
