Scaime S.A.S. (France) - SCAIME, official Partner of Schneider Electric for weighing applications, presents in exclusivity a weighing module for the new M580 PLC range. The PMESWT is a single channel plug-in weighing module dedicated to the M580 PLC and x80 RIO Ethernet backplane.

PME SWT offers high weighing performances and can be used in a wide variety of applications such as batching, filling, check weighing, level by weight monitoring or flow rate monitoring. It is intended for industries requiring a high level of measurement accuracy, such as the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical. Furthermore PMESWT is suitable for use in explosive atmospheres.

The PMESWT weighing module can be fully integrated into the Schneider Electric M580 ePAC and PlantStruxure architecture. Its parameters can be quickly and easily set by Unity PRO engineering platform thanks to integrated FTD/DTM technology.

With 2 built-in digital inputs and 4 outputs, the module could operate as stand-alone controller or provide weight and flow rate data to the PLC. In addition, a Modbus HMI touch panel can be directly connected to a dedicated port of the PMESWT, allowing local weight display and system calibration.

This fully integrated solution thus brings added value to the end customer in terms of performance, ease of implementation and maintenance.
