SCAIME S.A.S. (France) - Press Release: eNod4-BOX weighing terminal from SCAIME offers high accuracy and performance as well as extensive connectivity options for weighing applications in hazardous areas.

Its rugged stainless steel housing with IP65 protection level ensures reliable and safe operation in wet and harsh industrial environments.

eNod4-BOX is certified for use in hazardous area classifications 2 (locations with short term and unlikely presence of flammable gas) and 22 (locations with short term and unlikely presence of combustible dust) with the following protection modes:

• ATEX II 3G Ex ec nA nC IIC T4 Gc
• ATEX II 3D Ex tc IIIC T135°C Dc

Based on a modular and scalable concept, eNod4-BOX consists of a stainless steel housing with standard SCAIME components: eNod4 weighing controller, eNodTouch touch screen, communication interfaces or load cell connection board. eNod4-BOX can be used as a stand-alone weighing system or integrated into the most complex automated systems.

eNod4-BOX provides connectivity to Modbus-RTU, Modbus-TCP, CANopen, PROFIBUS-DP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP or EtherCAT networks to communicate with the main PLCs on the market.  It includes application software for level monitoring (Model T), checkweighing (Model C), gravimetric filling (Model D), conveyor belt weighing (Model B) or continuous loss-in-weight dosing (Model F), covering all weighing needs in the supply chain.

For the implementation and setting of eNod4-BOX, SCAIME provides many tools for integrators, users or maintenance operators. Thus, the configuration and control of the weighing applications can be done by eNodView PC software, eNodTouch touch screen or by the built-in web server of the Ethernet versions. eNod4 BOX also offers a Bluetooth® connectivity associated with an Android application for control and configuration from a smartphone or a tablet.

Finally, eNod4-BOX is certified according to OIML R76, R51 and R61. It can therefore be used in legal for trade, for the construction of various automatic or non-automatic weighing instruments.
