Reader for customized design – Proven Siemens Simatic RF1070R reader expanded to include new OEM version

Siemens (Germany) - Siemens is expanding its Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) portfolio in the Simatic RF1000 family to include the new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) version of the proven Simatic RF1070R reader with neutral housing and non-glued neutral front foil. This allows users to create customer-specific designs of the foil and fabricate them worldwide. Or alternatively  to place the reader without a company reference with the enclosed neutral front foil.

The Simatic RF1070R OEM reader, like all proven devices within the Simatic RF1000 series, enables easy, secured and documented access to machines and systems. Of course, the proven Config card for customer-specific parameterization is also available for the Simatic RF1070 OEM, which enables the implementation of all security standards of a company ID card. In addition to the standard Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface, a serial RS232 interface is also available for the new reader. This provides a quick and easy connection to the ET 200SP distributed I/O system as well as the Simatic RF170C, PCs and third-party human-machine interfaces (HMIs).

Ideal for use in harsh ambient conditions:

The Simatic RF1070R OEM operates in accordance with standards ISO 14443 A/B (international series of standards for contactless chip cards) and ISO 15693 (standard for physical and information technology characteristics of contactless RFID transponders and readers). The reader also supports the Legic Prime and Legic Advant transponder technologies. Due to its compact design and the high IP65 protection degree when installed (protection against the ingress of foreign bodies and water), the reader is suitable for industrial environment as well as for confined spaces at temperatures from -25 to +55 degrees Celsius.
