Omron Introduces the New NJ1 and NX7 Machine Controllers
Omron (Japan) - We have introduced our new NJ1 and NX7 machine controllers. This further expands the lineup of Machine Automation Controllers which are at the heart of the Sysmac Automation Platform (hereinafter "Sysmac"). The release of NJ1 and NX7 enables a wide range of automation solutions from cutting-edge, advanced production systems to simple machines.

Answering the global trend:
Today’s manufacturing companies are under pressure to respond quickly to a wide variety of increasing new consumer needs. This pressure has prompted these companies to innovate their manufacturing production sites by leveraging IoT, Big Data, and other ICT developments. Anticipating the associated changes in the needs of manufacturing companies, we are committed to further develop Sysmac and other innovative factory automation devices to enhance its service and engineering support for manufacturers.

Sysmac automation platform:
Since the release of NJ5 in 2011, we have offered application engines that include database connectivity and robotics. Also the lineup of peripheral devices such as high-speed I/O Units, Drive, Safety Components, and Vision Sensors has been expanded. The release of new Machine Automation Controllers enables Sysmac to be even more easily adopted at production sites. Leveraging the benefits of Sysmac, we have created innovative solutions by harnessing its Sensing and Control technology, its accumulated know-how, and its collaboration with third parties.

Take a look at the advantages of our Sysmac All-in-one Automation Platform:

Industry's Fastest* Machine Automation Controller NX7:
The new NX7 is the flagship model that offers speed without compromising reliability. It provides the industry's fastest* processing speed thanks to the Intel® Core™ i7 quad-core processor and large memory capacity. Focusing on the future of sophisticated production sites using IoT, we have developed this integrated controller to provide users with scalability beyond the framework of previous controllers and PLCs.

The Entry Level Sysmac NJ101:
The scalability of Sysmac is complemented by the new NJ101. It is the most basic Machine Automation Controller, configured within the same integrated development environment as the other Sysmac controllers, supporting applications with either 0 or 2 axes of high-performance motion. With an open network architecture that can quickly incorporate the latest information communication technology (ICT), Sysmac offers machine builders to innovative their manufacturing environment. No other platform can manage Logic, Motion, Vision, and Safety from a single project with guaranteed interoperability. The Sysmac NJ101 controllers provide new users with an introductory look into the full capabilities of Omron's Sysmac solutions, which can be all the way up to the NX7 multi-core controller, also recently introduced.
