New Viking Masek Case Study - Powers, Inc.

Viking Masek, a.s. (USA) - Powers, Inc.

The Challenge:

Although increased production speed is a benefit to new packaging equipment, Powers’ market niche means they must package many different items. During a single production shift, they package multiple products into different bag sizes and weights, which necessitates multiple film changeovers.

Faced with aging packaging machines, Powers needed a new flexible packaging solution that would allow the company to continue to fulfill its commitment to product variety and freshness through short, frequent production runs and a high volume of changeovers.

“Although we were a bit hesitant to switch packaging machine manufacturers (going from the known to the unknown is a bit scary), we’re just delighted we have. The support from Viking Masek has been just outstanding.”

John G. Cooley, President – Powers, Inc.
