New Load Cells and Weighing Electronics from Minebea Intec

Minebea Intec (Germany) - Minebea Intec, the global manufacturer of weighing and inspection technologies, has added two new product series to its range of innovative solutions for reliable industrial weighing. The LC load cell series offers dependable weighing components for the construction of bench scales, counting scales and other weighing systems. At the same time, the new weighing electronics of the CSD series ensure reliable processing of measurement signals and master simple as well as more demanding dosing tasks. Both product ranges offer affordable solutions for moderate requirements and benefit from decades of expertise of a leading weighing equipment manufacturer.

With the new LC load cell series, Minebea Intec replaces the old Meteor line of load cells. "In the heterogeneous weighing, machine and plant engineering industry, there are many different requirements for load cells," explains Frank Wieland, CSO at Minebea Intec. "The required precision, platform size, weighing capacity and price-sensitive market often make it difficult to select the right weighing solution. With the new LC series, we offer our OEM customers quality where it is most needed - at a competitive price. This is suitable for almost every requirement: In addition we can realize customer-specific solutions, so our customers no longer have to make any compromises, but get personalized solutions."

Ensuring quality where it matters - at a convincing price:

The LC load cell series will launch initially with three single point load cells made of aluminum, which cover weighing ranges from 7.5 to 500 kilograms. Specially designed for installation in bench scales, counting scales and checkweighers, with a minimum graduation value of 15000, they ensure accurate measurement results during weighing, filling and dosing or for checking filling quantities. Whether Minebea Intec or load cells from other manufacturers: The replacement of existing Minebea Intec load cells in systems is easy and quick to implement without necessary mechanical modifications, thanks to the same design.

However, the three aluminum models are just the beginning: At the end of the year, the manufacturer headquartered in Germany, will launch further single point load cells that are especially durable due to the use of stainless steel and suitable even for demanding working environments. In addition, further versions will expand the portfolio to meet a wide variety of requirements. All load cells bear the trademark of German Engineering and are OIML approved by standard. In addition, an even larger selection of weighing electronics completes the range.

New weighing electronics: CSD series offers reliable quality at an affordable price:

With the CSD series, Minebea Intec has added new, affordable transmitters, indicators and controllers to its existing portfolio of weighing electronics. The CSD 892 is a compact weight transmitter with an integrated display that offers direct data readability and can be operated via four buttons on the front panel. The CSD 903 weight indicator provides improved readability thanks to its configurable, large display. Eight keys ensure easy operation, and an application for single-component filling is included as standard.

The new CSD 912 weight controller, on the other hand, is suitable for extended dosing and filling applications and can manage up to 10 materials. The colour touch display is particularly robust and enables the user to gain a quick overview of the processes by displaying them in wave-like form. The included software application EzCTS not only allows a simple configuration, but existing settings can be saved and transferred to other devices. In the CSD 918 version, the weighing controller can also measure a constant amount of inflow and outflow by controlling the valve with a combination of a servo amplifier and a servo motor. For documentation purposes, protocols can either be exported as CSV file or alternatively printed out.
