New Hardy 24-inch HIBSX Low-Profile Bench Scales

New Hardy 24-inch HIBSX Low-Profile Bench Scales

Hardy Process Solutions (United States) - Press Release: Hardy Process Solutions today announced a new 24 x 24-inch addition to its line of HIBSX Series bench scales, which are easy to clean, low-profile and feature an all stainless-steel construction. The HIBSX series now come standard in the two most popular sizes, 12 x 12-inch and 24 x 24-inch. These scales offer simplicity and robust performance for food processing, chemical, consumer packaged goods and other industrial manufacturing weighing applications.

With a Hardy optimized internal 'X' design, the scales reduce the time required to clean them while offering one of the lowest profiles in the industry at just 2.02 to 2.95 inches (51.3 to 75 mm adjustable). Hardy HIBSX Bench Scales come with RoHS and REACH compliant 304 stainless steel hardware, frames and platters.  Made in the USA, HIBSX scales ranging in capacity from 10 lbs – 1300 lbs (5 kg  to 590 kg).

“The HIBSX series is designed to meet a combination of customer requirements, including the low-profile form factor, washdown, and use in hazardous areas. Users had been asking for feature-rich, low-profile bench scales that were both durable and at a lower price point,” said Jeff Moen, Hardy product manager.

Users of the 12 x 12-inch size may choose between stainless steel hermetically sealed, IP68/69K, C2® load cells or aluminum, environmentally sealed, IP67 C2® load cells, depending on their application. The HIBSX 24 x 24-inch comes standard with four (4) stainless steel HIPBZ Planar Beam IP67 C2® load cells and an integrated junction box. The HISBX series is ideal for manual check weighing, piece or bag portioning, counting, and adding minor ingredients to a process or a batch.

To ensure durability in industrial applications, Hardy has performed corner, overload and cycle testing to over 8 million cycles. In addition, overload testing was performed on the HIBSX 24 x 24-inch with a capacity of 1300 lbs using three 1,000 lbs test weights (230%).  The scale was operational and tested accurate with test weights even after this grueling test.

“Hardy has built its C2® weight-free calibration technology into every scale, delivering the lowest total cost of ownership on the market,” said Moen. “C2 calibration saves time during commissioning and replacement, removes extra personnel from processing areas, and keeps your manufacturing process cleaner by eliminating the need for potentially contaminated test weights.”

With hazardous FM approval, the HIBSX with the IP68/69K load cell is built for washdown applications and hazardous environments.   Scales with an IP67 load cell, are designed for use in dry and dusty hazardous environments.   Each load cell has a +/- 0.02% accuracy specification.
