We’re helping a very well established and respected development company to find their next software engineer for their London based team.

Your role will be to work alongside your colleagues and software engineers to develop software and firmware for a new ground-breaking real-world solution which could revolutionise a vital industry.

The key software engineering and overall skills and experience we’re interested in includes:

  • Strong C++ or Python programming skills
  • Good knowledge of programming under Linux
  • Ideally experience working with firmware
  • You will have a very keen interest in robotics
  • Ideally, you’ll have experience using ROS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

 

Many of the team have an MSc or PhD but if you have a BSc which includes a heavy element of robotics, then we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re a recent graduate with some relevant work experience in software engineering (especially if it’s from within the robotics realm), then we would very much welcome your application.

Should you join our team your job would centre on solving real-world problems using robotics, we work on highly challenging and stimulating problems to deliver new solutions using advanced robotic systems. The job is quite versatile, ranging from firmware and driver development to high-level behaviour of the robot. It will also require working in different domains from picking items from a bin to additive manufacturing. Quality assurance techniques such as unit, integration, manual testing together with Continuous Integration are part of development and release process.

Salary:

  • £27,000 – £30,000 depending upon experience.

Location:

  • Office based in North London.
