Stevens Traceability Systems (United Kingdom) - We have an exciting vacancy for a software developer to join our software team based at our Head Office in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Requirements:

• A degree in software development, Ideally at a minimum of a 2.1 level
• A good knowledge of object orientated design and design patterns
• Experience programming in Java and C#
• Experience of working with SQL/HQL
• Experience of Hibernate and RDB persistence mapping
• Experience of working with source control systems (SVN, GIT)
• Experience working with Maven and other build tools
• A good grounding in client-server-based architecture
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a high degree of personal initiative and an innovative approach to problem solving
• Experience of Eclipse and/or Visual Studio development environments
• Some knowledge or experience with JEE and web development technologies (Apache/Tomcat, Spring, JSP, PHP)
• Experience with multi-platform development languages, Xamarin, Google Flutter.
• Exposure to web-service technology such as REST and Jersey
• An understanding of mobile/ubiquitous software development
• Knowledge of working practices and design methodologies such as Agile & Waterfall
• Exposure to development on multiple operating systems (Linux Slackware/Ubuntu/Debian, Windows, WM6.5)
• Knowledge of industry-standard languages (XML, HTML) and testing frameworks (JUnit etc)
