Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery, Inc. (United States) - Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery, Inc. is a family-owned company that manufactures packaging and inspection equipment for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
We are hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk/Office Administrator. This position performs general accounts payable duties to include recording and setting up for the payment of all invoices, in accordance with company and established accounting policies and procedures.
Expedites the steady and courteous flow of internal and external communications, such as incoming/outgoing telephone messages, visitors, messengers, and delivery services. Coordinates general office operations and procedures and provides support to colleagues in the office and field. Responsible for maintaining all aspects of daily office operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Processes, records, verifies, and pays invoices and expenses for goods and services on a timely basis, and responds to vendor queries, data entry of invoices for payment.
- Prepares a variety of reports, analyzes data, identifies, and recommends solutions. Processes, runs, and uploads A/P records to the bank.
- Maintain vendor files in TCM including tax exemption certificates and W9’s.
- Process expenses reimbursement requests for payment.
- Communicates with purchasing and shipping department regarding pricing or receiving discrepancies.
- Review vendor statements and communicates with vendors regarding payment status.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Office Administrator:
- Answers main line and greets guests at the front door. Courteously and promptly determines nature of a caller's business and directs callers and visitors to the appropriate person, or takes messages (including all pertinent information) for the person called.
- Responsible for general office administration and provides support in a variety of areas and functions. Ensures building and facilities are clean and safe for colleagues and visitors. Handles all site maintenance issues (e.g., pest control, etc.) and office equipment.
- Performs other office administrative duties including but not limited to filing, mailing, ordering office supplies and other supplies/services such as ordering company shirts.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid math skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- High level of organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Education and Experience/Skills Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in Accounting a plus
- Minimum of one year of previous bookkeeping, accounting and/or financial experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.
