Adam Equipment's New Aqua Stainless Steel Washdown Scale Offers Superior Protection from Water and Easy Cleanup

Adam Equipment (United Kingdom) - Press Release: Adam Equipment, a leading worldwide manufacturer of professional scales and balances, grew its Aqua family of washdown scales with the addition of the easy-to-clean Aqua Stainless Steel (ABW-S). Hygiene and easy cleanup have become more important than ever in a pandemic weary world, particularly in demanding food-related industries.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has made everyone much more conscious of the importance of hygiene and cleanliness,” said Tom Storey, president of Adam Equipment’s U.S. operations. “Washdown scales like Aqua Stainless Steel are perfect for applications like food production and foodservice, where scales require frequent, thorough cleaning.”

Like the original Aqua range, Aqua ABW-S has been designed for ease of use and efficiency in demanding environments like industrial factories and food processing plants. After a simple washdown, Aqua ABW-S – which is National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)-certified for food safety – is ready to go again. For additional safety, ABW-S includes blue leveling feet which increase visibility while providing support to keep the scale from sliding on a potentially wet countertop.

With an impressive rating of IP68, Aqua ABW-S offers advanced protection from dust and water, allowing it to be fully submerged in water deeper than one meter without harm to its components. Strategically placed channels in the housing and a sealed internal design protects Aqua’s components from water penetration.

Aqua Stainless Steel is available in four models that range in capacity from 9lb/4kg to 70lb/32k and readabilities from 0.0002lb/0.1g to 0.004lb/2g.

Built to last, the scales feature a grade 304 stainless steel housing and platform, along with a sealed keypad. The generously sized pan (9.6” x 7.1”/245mm x 180mm on most models and 11.8” x 8.3”/300mm x 210mm for the ABW 32S model) is removeable, making Aqua ABW-S even easier to clean and maintain.

For improved productivity and efficiency, bright front- and rear-facing 0.8”/20mm LED displays allow two users to share a single scale. ABW-S can be powered by the included AC adapter or a built-in rechargeable battery that offers up to 55 hours of on-the-go weighing.

Along with highly accurate percentage weighing and parts counting functions (including parts counting optimization that continually refines piece weight as parts are added), ABW-S simplifies checkweighing with hidden-until-needed indicators that alert the user if a sample is lower, higher or within specified limits.
